We will be out in the community with activities and information stands, and are always happy to take questions.

 

Tuesday

Drop in Information and Advice Stand in the Market Hall, Cathedral Quarter, Derby.  11am to 4pm.

A drop in Information and Advice stand for disabled people, older people and carers.  Members of our Information Team will be in the Market Hall to take your questions and tell you what free services we have on offer, including benefit form filling, seated yoga, independent living, access and much more!

 

Craft & Crotchet Afternoon at the Age UK 50+ Wellbeing Centre, Eagle Market, Derby.  1.30pm to 2.45pm.

Learn to crotchet, make crafts and meet new friends.  Beginners and advanced welcome.

Costs £2 for materials.  Call Age UK for more information on 01332 343232.

 

Indian Classical Dance by Surtal Arts at the Quad, Derby Market Place.  2.30pm to 5pm.

Trampolining at Springwood Leisure Centre, Springwood Drive, Oakwood, Derby.  4pm to 6pm.

Part of the Just Fun summer activities for disabled 11-19 year olds in Derby City.

Wednesday

Age UK Big Derby Knitathon 2012 in the Eagle Market and Market Hall.  10am to 4pm.

Enter your team of four knitters for the Age UK Derby and Derbyshire BIG DERBY KNITATHON 2012 fundraising event.

Age UK Friendship Group at the Age UK 50+ Wellbeing Centre, in the Eagle Market, Derby.  10.30am to 12.30pm.

Come in, have a cup of tea, make friends and have a laugh and a chat!

Relationship Workshop at the Disability Direct Enterprise Centre, 20 Royal Scot Road, Pride Park, Derby.  1pm to 2pm.

This workshop is for disabled 16-19 year olds living in Derby City only, as part of the Just Fun Summer activities programme.

Olympic Party at the Disability Direct Enterprise Centre, 20 Royal Scot Road, Pride Park, Derby.  12pm to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.

Come and celebrate the Olympics with friends and family at Disability Direct.

Watch the big screen projection of the Olympics, enjoy some snacks and drinks and have the opportunity to have your photograph taken withthe Olympic Torches.

Staring special Guests - Olympic Torch Bearers George Coppen and Leon Taylor!!!

Yoga classes at the Disability Direct Enterprise Centre, 20 Royal Scot Road, Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8AJ.  10am to 11.30pm.

Fiona leads a seated yoga class, with the choice of using a mat every Friday.  There is a minimum donation of £2 for the session.  Book a place now by calling 01332 299449.
